...Wasting time yesterday I go to a local pawn palace and find a Martin MG 7/5.....Looks barely used,came with a spiffy bag for storage..Who knows about this reel? Is it a 7 wt? Says Made in USA on it and has a 'coolie hat' looking knob for the drag setting....Thanks!

TC, thanks for the FFF link; I'd found some info on there but didn't go back far enough...Hmmmm, a 7wt and a gnarly one at that.....May use it on my J.C. Higgins tobacco glass or.....get a new 7wt rod for it(darn)......
I've got a Martin click drag in 5/6; picked it up used 40 years ago and it still sings liked a raped cat when giving line. Sweet reels for the $.
