    Haven't scouted for grouse, but Hank put his talented nose on a couple roosters and 2 coveys of huns yesterday. 'Course he had a bewildered look on his face after I flushed them & didn't shoot, but his bird radar is as keen as ever. Saw quite a few doves, also.

    I wish some huns were closer to Moses Lake. I understand some are up between Ephrata and highway 2 via the back way.

    I have a couple spots where if you put in the miles, the dog will usually find birds. Rascals are deceptive targets however . . . they seem to dote on that "straight-away" escape.
