Going after some carp soon

Any tips from carp pros in here? I know of a spot that holds some big carp and there usually is a dozen or so close to shore. Any advice? I have hooked up with 3 of them before but never can seem to land them. Will post back any pics if i do end up catching one!

I managed to get a carp to take my fly. It was a big one, ~20 pounds. It took a white bugger size 12. What a awesome rush, i was battling it for about 15 minutes before it ran under a fallen tree in the river and the hook came out. Would have loved to land that one! Carp fishing is a blast. Hope to land one soon. Carp record: 0-4.

I use a fly that resembles a pellet and nails them every time.

That sounds like a cool fly, any idea where i can get one or how to tie it? The only pattern i have had the carp show interest in is a white bugger.

I have had lots of luck with "carp candy"/ crazy charlie style flies. Check out this website; they have tons of good carp patterns.
