Green River Life Histories?

Discussion in 'Fly Fishing Forum' started by Steelworker, Oct 13, 2001.

  1. Hey all,
Can anyone tell me where I can study the life histories(months released & returned/time spent in the river and where) of the Green River Steelhead?(both wld and hatchery).
    Any help'd be much appreciated.
P.S. The Green is literally saturated with dark stinky Chinook from Kanasket-Palmer to the Headworks. Be cautious when approaching the Headworks. The locals are giving the "stink-eye" to anyone who approaches the purifaction plant (our source for drinking water).
See ya'll out there on Sunday.
    Take care,
  2. Try Curt Kraemer at the Mill Creek Office, WDFW. He is the head biologist for the area that I believe includes the Green. He is extremely knowledgable and helpful, if a little cocky. He does know as much as anybody about our local rivers and their histories. If he can't help you specifically about the Green, he can steer you in the right direction.
