    I'm considering the 8/9 Intermediate

Anyone using this line on this rod? Did you go with the 8/9 or
9/10 or both? What head lengths did you end up with? Any tips on the tuning process? How do you like the line?

    Thanks,
    Scott

What lines and grain weights do you use currently and do you feel they are a good fit? You can use this information as a guideline/starting point. For example...If you like say a 480 compact skagit on your tnt...an 8/9 DDC cut back to 40'6" might be good...or if you'd like a shorter head go with the 9/10 DDC at about 36'. Use the calculator on the Guideline website and follow the tips mentioned to tune your line. I love the DDC and currently have the 8/9DDC with the belly cut down for a total length of 41' and a 9/10 belly (I bought seperately) with a total line length 36' for use with my Le Cie 12'6 8/9. ON my 7136 z-axis I use an 8/9 belly cut down to a total length of 38'6". Enjoy, it's a great fishing line.
