Has anyone else been having issues viewing fish porn from the gallery the last couple of days? I've ran spybot and searched for gators and NADA! Also the format changes when jumping from thread to thread. Just curious Dennis
I too have been having a heck of a time getting the gallery page to load up....it seems to load halfway up and then just stop with everthing showing but the pictures.
Go here, at the bottom click on the link to delete your cookies. (just deletes WFF cookies). Close all of your browsers, open one back up, sign back on and check the gallery.
Tried that Scoones and still having problems from two different machines... Only half of the photos on the gallery page load for me, sometimes not even that.
I thought I was the only one with that problem. Some times the site comes on line and then sometimes it takes a while to load. And as for answering questions, sometimes it times out before it loads. I've done the cookies thing but I shouldn't have to do it all the time. No,I just grin and bear it. It will come up sooner or later. Jim
I don't have problems when using Mozilla as my browser but can't get pictures to load in MS explorer. iagree
Not sure if I fixed anything yet, but have started working on it. Can you guys check again and tell me if the issue is still there. If you do find the same issues, please include a URL with issue as an example. thanks.
No problems for me using Macs with IE and OS 9.2 or Safari and OS 10.4. I'll try it with WinXP and IE today and report any issues. K
Sometimes, especially early in the mornings, the site is real slow?? I havent had a problem with the gallery per say??
Chris, I'm writing this from my Dell WinXP box at work and the Gallery seems to work fine with no apparent problems, stalls or slow loaders. FYI, I'm on a 768kb/s DSL line here, but the machine is an old and slow 333mhz Dell Latitude with 256mb RAM. K
Kent, Do you remember when that machine was the fastest thing around? LOL It wasn't that long ago. Now, it is a dinasaur. BTW I havent had any problems with this site with either IE or Mozilla browsers and a cable connection
No kidding. I bought it used 3 or 4 years ago for my wife and thought I got a deal at just $750. But for my purposes it's just fine, and contrary to popular belief, it runs WinXP Professional with SP2 just fine. Just goes to show that when you buy any form of technology these days, the paradigms change so quickly that today's latest and greatest is tomorrows' boat anchor. K
I havn't had any problems viewing. But I am curious , How much time do you spend on the web site / forum, Chris?
Thanks for the feedback. nomlasder. Too much, but it's usually self inflicted projects. On top of that, the normal work is assisting a few with the registration process. In the last 3 weeks WFF has jumped from 6 to 18 new members daily and with it I've seen an increase in requests for support offline.
Yeah Chris your google rank is the highest it has ever been, anything to do with fishing and your sites there. If you don't mind me asking what kinda bandwidth are you using up? Time for you to put you high rank to good use and retire from IT/COM, get your shop up. I can tell you are not a greedy man, thanx for that.
The bandwidth was averaging 50-60 Gigs / month until I turned up the video option within the gallery. It's 12/8 today, and already the bandwidth is over 25 Gigs. I've got plenty of room for growth though so I'm not worried. I won't say a few items won't be sold off WFF in the future, but opening an online shop is not the intention with this site. I'd prefer it stay a community based informational site.
