I just found out I will be in Ellensburg on Saturday. Where abouts in the area is the Yakima fishable, what is running, and what patterns should I be using? Does anyone want to meet up, I'll be there about 10:30 or 11 am.

    Cheers

It's been dropping each day and looks good and clear. I'd say it will be great Saturday. Although a lot of sources on the web are telling you to nymph with indicators, get some olive skulpins and swing and strip them. Watch for midge surface action in the afternoon if it's nice and sunny. If cloudy, I'd also try a plain old black AP nymph in #12, or even #10. I can't go because I'll finally be snowboarding.
