I'm planning a trip to Mobile, AL and then Pensacola in late September. I was thinking about hiring a guide for a day while in FL and was wondering if any of you had suggestions on guides. I've never fished this area and I'm not quite sure what's running that time of year. I'm also planning a DIY trip to Dauphin Island, AL to do a little beach fishing.....does anyone have any experience with this area? Thanks for any info. guys.....I really appreciate it.

September is a great time to fish down here. Pretty much everything is running and they are fat from feeding all summer. Spanish mackeral, ladyfish, jacks, specks, and redfish are all over Dauphin Island. Offshore is crazy, everything from snapper to tuna to marlin. It is a great time. As for guides I recommend Dan Kolenich for the Mobile Delta and Robert Cochran for FL. I am a Washington boy but moved down here several years ago. Fishing is fantastic. Any questions you have I will be more than happy to help you out.
