A gearaholic would assess his tackle for the spandax fish that needed a squiggly bait is how I read this... Don't have a clue what you guys are talking about shadow casting.

    I cast from my couch!!

Redington makes a sweet little 2 piece 50” casting rod for practicing and working on your mechanics.

If winter keeps up any longer I might just start practice casting at the university....

Might want to spey though, the back cast has the potential to be dangerous to my health...

OK, I'll tell you what they don't like, and what some people frown on. You go to the sportsman show. You want to cast a rod. They have a "casting pool" which in reality is some blue plastic with a light covering of water. With my friend Don Simonson standing in the rain giving casting lessons. And you're in a hurry. But, hey, there is more than one pool. So, you go to the deep water where the kids are bait fishing for bows. Now, that's casting. Like standing in the Kenai during the salmon run. And you're inspiring all the little tykes to become fly fisherman. So they all start waving their little sticks like you are.

I'm with you, but it would no longer cost $39.95 to buy if they did that.
