Hicks Lake

  1. I got into that fly fishing academy through TU and its going to be held on Hicks Lake, so any little secrets I should know about? What flies are hot? I also heard that Hicks Lake is the best largemouth lake on the west side. I don't know bout' that cause' I erd' that Silver Lake down south is the best bar none.

  3. Hick's Lake is rather low this year, looks like 2 or 3 feet. There are good weed beds around the edges and many docks etc. The water tends to be clear. Midge hatches are the most prevalent for trout fishing. There used to be some big brown trout in the lake along with the usual motley planters. The lake also contains bass, crappie and large carp.
