Anyone have some phishing reports from the Queets? I am headed there to phish both Saturday and Sunday! I'll be the swinging fool ..... Wish me luck.

Because you can still legally fish a hook all the way to tidewater...

How did your trip go Trapper? I'm curious as to what the water clarity was...

Water Clarity seemed fine.... It rained all day Sunday and seemed cold! No strikes. Floated from Hertzel to the Bridge. The most action was at the Hertzle Take out ......some guys getting busted for pot by the park rangers. Clearly the Rangers have nothing to do.........

I thought pot was decriminalized in this great state?

Only if you buy the stuff from the state & no smoking at public place. It could be that National parks are under federal rules

That's exactly what the park ranger was saying....they are not under state law but federal. Either Way.... Theses park rangers have nothing to do except wait for stoners to come off the river....unfortunately, steelhead fishing requires a little brain numbing ! Lol

Last weekend the Upper Queets shared one of her rare specimens with me. I was able to get a crummy cell phone picture, with my shadow covering the fish for the most part. That is just part of fishing alone. Water was really low and clear, and I was swinging the biggest, brightest pink maribou tube in my possession. This is my personal best steelhead ever, and a day I will never forget.

Looks like a really nice buck. Even has that "big fish" looking eye. Great job!
