Not sure...somewhere in the vicinity of 50 or so, all but 2 are custom made by me.....Most are on Five Rivers FT blanks by Dan Craft.

nah, some of you fly fish junkies just have way to much stuff and time to fish. I now know I'm in a B league, or perhaps a C league. I came across this thread searching for info on a reel and thought it might be fun to hear of updates.

    5/wt Orvis
    6/wt Loomis
    7/wt Loomis
    8/wt Orvis
    10/wt Albright

And that's only my fly rods. Between them and my gear fishing and bird hunting equipment
it takes up an entire room, not to mention the boat that gets half of the garage. No wonder
my wife is a little touchy about my hobbies.

Geez, you sure are making Dan Craft tons of money, especially since they dont build their own blanks, but buy blanks from China for $5 or so. Kinda getting ripped off if you are paying that much money to just say "I have a Dan Craft". If the name isnt worth $70 or so to you I will give the chinese company they get it from to save you many multitudes of $$$

Enough rods and reels that if the house burned down, I'd never remember them all. I keep a spreadsheet of models and serial numbers in my Hotmail account just in case anything ever happens. Like Salmo g, I won't post them lest you all think I have some kind of problem...which I don't, I swear. Oh, and don't even ask why I own spools for reels I haven't even purchased yet...but I'm not a gear junky, honest!

Porter, I have not yet had the tuna porn pleasure. Maybe someday.

    Reels?
Okuma Sierra 3/4 and 5/6 (girls starter rods now)
Okuma Integrity Large Arbor 8/9 x 2 plus spools
Okuma Integrity Large Arbor 10/11 for my spey setup
    Redington CD 3/4 x 2 plus spools
    Redington CD 5/6 x 2 plus spools
    Redington CD 7/8 x 2 plus spools
    Sage 1850 plus spools
Dormisch Absi R2 plus spool (straight up sexy with NOTHING in the center hub of the reel)
Some old relic that I have on a bamboo rod
Cabelas Cahill that I have on my Halloween fly fisherman costume fly rod (it keeps me going with the girlies and they dig me being dressed up too)

Salmo g, I recently picked up two bamboo rods, one is of good quality but needs guides repaired. The other is probably junk but looks good (destined for a wall hanging), want to tell us more about yours? I've yet to fish mine, but I'm itching to throw some flies and land some trout on bamboo.

I cannot believe you are so adament about where Dan gets his blanks. If you can positively post on this board where he is having them made in China I'm sure everyone would be more than happy to find out how ignorant you actually are. I've been building rods for almost 50 years now and even if the FT blanks were built in China, they still have one of the finest actions on one of the strongest blanks I have ever used. Why is it so important to you to run down a fine person such as Dan and why do you care what the hell I use....is it any business of yours?

I'll get in on this one.

    Double Handers

    Fetha Styx 13' 8 wt.
    Hardy Demon 13' 8 wt.
Sharpes of Aberdeen Bamboo 14' ?? wt.

The Sharpes doesn't get used so if anyone is interested in buying it or wants to make a trade shoot me a PM. Kinda want a spliced 'boo.

    Single Handers

    Hardy Demon 9' 8 wt.
    TFO Axiom 9' 8 wt.
No Name Home Built 9' 5wt. (definitely the best 5 wt. I own... wish I knew the blank it's on)
    Orvis Trident 9' 5 wt.
TFO Series One 9' 5 wt. (might have given that one away)
Eagle Claw 7 wt. yellow POS
    Brown Uglie 8 wt.
    Weird Grey Thing 5 wt.
7' 4 pc. 5 wt. (gave that to a hobo with a shakespeare real and level taper line:rofl:)

    Rods That Need Completion

St. Croix Legend Elite 9' 8 wt.
    TFO Pro 9' 8 wt.
    TFO Pro 9' 6 wt.
    TFO Ticrx 9' 5 wt.
    Rain Shadow 8' 4wt.
Montague 8' 5 wt. 'boo (needs repair)

After I reduce the single handers to be built I think I might build me a few speys and switches. Tight lines.

Yeah, I didn't count my cheap yardsale glass. I'll add those on so my list looks bigger... sort of like wearing pleated pants :thumb:.

...enough that I get weirdly anxious when trying to decide what outfit to bring with me the next morning.
now i guess I have to go home and count them up. That sounds like work.

    THANKYOU!:thumb::thumb::thumb:

He is talking smack about Tim Rajeff on another thread as well, I am sure there are a bunch of Chinese workers very, very thankful for the work. BTW I love my Echo's regardless of where they came from.
