I've recently admired some hackle streamers posted, such as Davy Earl's chum fry and Scott Behn's yellow sculpin. I'd like to take a stab at some of these style streamers soon. Just curious about any tips you might have on the best method for tying in the hackle to get it to sit at just the right angle without crushing the filaments on the hook. Also, how durable are these streamers after taking a couple hits? I'd tend to think the hackle could get mangled pretty quick.
    Your thoughts??
