    Humpback Beetle
    Hook: Tiemco 102Y #11-17
    Thread: Benecchi 12/0, olive
Dorsal stripe: Dubbing brush, synthetic bright green
Shellback: 2mm closed cell foam, dark olive
    Body: Squirrel, dyed dark olive
Sighter: 2mm closed cell foam, bright yellow

Note: The use of the dubbing brush over the shellback may seem a little unusual, but it adds greatly to the visibility of this low riding beetle pattern. The synthetic strands catch and reflect the smallest glimmer of sunlight, assisting the angler in keeping the pattern in view as it drifts in current or film.

    Cheers,
    Hans W

Great idea, using the dubbing brush. Going to have start adding it to more patterns.
The old eyes are just that....old eyes.
