I'll be heading over to a yet to be determined stream on Monday the 3rd. I thought I would inquire the retired community and see if anyone would like to share a camp, some steaks, good fishing and knock down a few Moose Drools. If the weather is good fishing should be great with the streams falling back into shape nicely. PM me if you have a current valid kitchen pass.

Grr. Away to New Orleans for a conference next week, then this? Idaho, fishing, kitchen pass, the Great IveofIone, Moose Drool and reminding me that I'm not able to just spontaneously drop it all and to fishing. Drat!

I just got done with two trips. One to Ohio and one to Washington. I'm done with trips for a while. I think that I will stay close to home for a while and see if these Montana trout like my new flies.

Ohio? Road trip? That is a haul. My mom and pops just dropped in from Indiana the week following Mother's Day.

Sounds like you have not received your first kitchen pass yet? That's sad!

An OK from the wife, if you have one.

Retirement doesn't have a age limit on it. I know a guy that retired at 25.

    I am 43 and single.
Thanks for the clarification old man.

I sometimes forget that married men need to ask the wife for permission first before making decisions.

Oh ya, I have cancelled some trips with friends when i hear their wife in the background cackling. I prefer to keep the peace, i will get them out another time... some friends don't hear the warnings and they end up in the dog house or another house.;)

Good luck to you Ive. I was just in the Clearwater area last weekend, she was running pretty high. Didnt get up to the North Fork, we just went up to Deer Creek Res. Guys were catching them every cast, so we drove all the way back to Weippe for me to get my license then all the way back to the lake. I think I got maybe a dozen or so in 2 hours from the bank. Not too bad. Could of caught more, but those Idaho fish hit the fly odd...
