    OK this is pretty funny:

Many skagit lines are less than 25 feet now. No more mono running lines I guess

This thread was running so amuck i added a twist.

Its been a non- productive thread after the first couple responses on page 1.

This deep into the thread any post can be contrary, factual( lol) or a complete myth.

I am happy to see it hit PAGE #10.

    Cheap entertainment.

I would love to see an end to bait in Washington waters altogether.
To me, bait is the ultimate cheat while river fishing. I see no reason to not let people fish jigs under a float.
I fish with spinners/ spoons/ plugs sometimes. It's great fun.

Honestly we should designate different waters for different things based on escapement and projected impact. I would not mind seeing fly only restrictions get tougher on the NF Stilly.

I think treble hooks should be eliminated- and honestly most good fishermen will agree that a siwash hook will give you better success anyway....legit success that is

With escapement the way it is, all Washington waters should be selective gear- no bait.

Does that mean i can throw out a rvrfshr 50/50 spoon using a fly rod? That would be epic. Spoon fishing hits are rod slammers.... oh please come true.

I agree with all, its in my line of thinking, except for the use of bait for salmon retention.
I like to cure my eggs and land fish using them. I wouldn't want to give up that connection as weak as it is. It may sound animalistic, but when a salmon takes eggs so deep you only see leader, that catch feels better in my sick twisted fish killing mentality.

What happens if you catch an early winter steelhead/ late summer steelhead/ bull trout deep hooked like thst and can't retain it?

Most bait hookups aren't that deep... But bait accounts for more deep hooks than other methods

Why does every fly fishing forum on the internet have an indicator thread ongoing in real time as we speak?

The handle on that reel also looks like it came from the pull on a lawn mower.
