I don't know how many of you all read my post inquiring about a mystery fly tier, but I've grown more curious about this individual, Bob Voorhees(sp?) From what I've learned so far, he was a local individual(Washington State), was a world class tier, and a member of my maritime union. I was thinking that, if I get enough information, I might be able to write an article on him. It would be fun to contribute something to my union's newspaper. There often are people in my industry who have several irons in the fire that take them far outside of the circle of work. Don't forget that the writers Joseph Conrad, Eugene O'Neil, Jack London, and the folk singer David Van Ronk all were merchant seamen. So if anyone out there knows anything about this guy, could you pass on to me what you know? I thank you all in advance.
