    Ron,

Mine are hitting the post office tomorrow...ran into a hook shortage, but H&H came through as always :thumb:

...I thought I could trust my wife...she failed to drop them in the box on Monday . Anyway, they are in and should be in Ron's hands by end of today possibly, but for sure tomorrow.

All of the terrestrials are in. Nice looking flies one and all. I'll photograph them and divide them up this evening. They should go out in the morning mail.

Next month is the terrible nymphs. Two months to go folks, then we should be fishing full swing.

    Well, Boys and Girl,

The flies are winging their merry way to your eagerly awaiting hands, but, just so you know what to expect the pics are up in the Gallery under Fly Swaps. Great job by everyone. Andrew, your as bad a sandbagger as the rest of these hoodlums. Beginner/Intermediate indeed! Very nice tie on that foam cricket.

Sorry it took me so long to get things out but this whooping cough is wiping me out. Anyone wanta see what my lungs look like? Just wait till the next coughing spell hits. The good news is that my appoinment with the VA hospital is next Tuesday.

Next months is the Nymph phase of the swap. I'll tell you all now that your getting my cased caddis from me. They've been done for several months now.

Talk about an over achiever, I have flies in from Jim Williamson. So what's up with the rest of you slackers?

Since walking to the mailbox tires me out, you guys are my designated fishers till I get back out. Go fishing and send me glowing reports about the great fishing, even if you have to lie.

I looked at the pictures and all I can say is wow. Based on what I see in the photos, I have some real work to do if I want to keep up with you guys.

    Ron,

I hope you feel better. Great job on the photos and great job on the swap.

    Hey All,

I forgot to mention, if you sent your flies in a small container, VEE put her spider in a small plastic box so it wouldn't get crusuhed (hopefully). Make sure you check your envelopes well.

Thanks for the compliments on the photography. Pretty easy when you have great subjects to shoot.

WOW! I had a little jump start when I opened my package... Vickie your spider is amazing - I've been scaring people all day at work "That's a fly? How did she tie that?"

another round of terrific ties - thank you all!

a very nice job was done by everyone. Loved that spider and all of the photo's. I really liked the Ant that Bob Ellis built. It's a little to small for me to see to tie on when I'm sitting in a boat with cold hands though. I really appreciate the photographer because I'm able to see the detail of it in the photo's.

I have always thought of terrestrials as big bold flies it was really neat to see the small ants and beetles.
What a great bunch of flies all were well done. We are really a bunch of talented tyers. Yeah I know that was a little conceited, but this is a Beginners swap and the quality from the first month to now is awesome.
thanks everyone for the great bugs. :thumb:

We certainly made ourselves a grand collection -- nice job, everyone :thumb: A good thing, too, as the weather may give us a long terrestrial season this year!

My flies arrived in the mail on MOnday, I agree Vickie's spider is very neat, I tried tying one the body was pretty easy, but I kept melting through the mono legs, I guess I was using to much heat. I put my nymphs in the mail yesterday.

I gotta agree, you folks are building a nice collection of flies, all well tied. For beginner/intermediate tiers your doing some pretty remarkable stuff. Actually I think your all sandbaggin...but we are our own worst critics when it comes to our tying skills.

ICConrad's flies arrived this afternoon. Once again he has gone above and beyond by providing you with two patterns that are as sure fire as I have seen.

Keep up the good work guys and gal.
