She hadn't even picked up the switch. Elizabeth is headed to Campbell River to see her parents so I thought this weekend's camping trip would give us the perfect opportunity to brush up on her 2h casting.

I got her a new line. It is a rage compact completed with a 15 foot type III and 6 feet of leader. She had fun and said it is so much easier than a mid spey. An hour later she could throw the entire thing plus shooting a few feet (8 on a good cast). Looking forward to being able to aerialize the
entire line and get some distance.

Elizabeth isn't a jedi by any stretch. She is, however, excited by every cast and quickly gaining confidence while still looking forward to the next cast.

I you haven't done so already, you might want to get her one of the monofilament running lines like a slick shooter or verivas. They add distance pretty easily.

It's on there Steve. There is about 50 feet of the airflo backing and then 200 feet of slick shooter.
