Camped at the south end 10/5-7. Caught a zillion dinks and enough 12-17" to keep it interesting. Type III full-sink and WB's, hare's ears, PT's, carrey sp., 6-packs, scuds all worked. Fished mostly in the big bay across from Jack's Resort and around the island. Look for weed beds. It was a powerbait zoo on Saturday but Sunday and Monday were nice. Watch out for the wind . . .a buddy had to haul his tent out of a gully after it blew away (yanked up the stakes!). :COOK

You might do all right casting from shore into some of the deep drop-offs near the public launch but a boat or pontoon would be much better. Also, the wind could be a bear from shore. The areas I fished could not be reached w/out a watercraft.
