    Forum members,

I am a Washington native who after years on the East Coast finally got the position I wanted at Fort Lewis. My equipment needs updating and I would prefer my business go to a local fly shop. Does anyone have any recommendations in the area? I grew up on the other side of the state and thus do not know much about the local scene.

Also, I recall hearing about a group that met on base at WTB. Does that still happen? I work next door at the hospital and would love to make it over sometime.

    Much appreciated.

    I concur on PSFC.

I'm your Guy. I help with Project Healing Waters on JBLM. We meet every Tuesday at the Warrior Transition Battalion. Start at 1500 and tie until 1900. The new WTB is on the south side of madigan. Drop in anytime. Drop me a message if you want more info.

BTW we schedule our trips while tying. And best bet is to show up after 1600.

I keep meaning to attend the PHW tying thing more than once a year Jerry I swear. Tying up bonefish flies as we speak. I may have a problem, don't judge me.

Oh, you'd fit in, you know that. Hell, I've been tying steelhead and salmon flies during prime trout and bass season locally. Been hoping you'd show up. You know you're always welcome. :)
