I've been fishing Kayak point this past week with no hook-ups, which I'm ok with because I'm still learning the beach game. I plan to fish from Camano Island here next week just to try something different. My question has to do with lightening conditions. Is it preferable to fish early in the morning when the sun is not so direct, even if the tides are not cooperating? How skiddish are SRC to direct sunlight like we've had this past week?

I've always found low-light conditions, morning or evening or a cloudy overcast day to be a better bet.

For salmon I'd rather have good current and bright sun then cloudy and a slack current. I'd assume SRC would be the same. Ideally you'd want good current and low light! Of course, there are always exceptions.
