Fished the outgoing tide at Kopachuck this morning with my Dad as our Father's Day celebration. The water was very still. Saw some jumpers, lots of boils, had several hard strikes, but only one 10" SRC to hand on a litte home spun baitfish pattern we concocted.

But, I got to spend a fantastic morning with the man that introduced me to flyfishing. Can't beat that!

Thanks for the report. I'd love to have fished with my dad on Father's Day, but alas, he's 2500 miles away. I've been to Kopachuk several times but haven't fished it yet. Maybe I'll check it out soon.

I use to see regular reports about Kopachuck but no more. It's a nice place to fish but I don't go there anymore. I hate to think I am cheap but it must be true. The price to park my car pushes me to other areas, many of them a closer drive.

The current $5.00 price is just a come on. The real price, per the State, is $7.00 as soon as they have the guts to charge a user fee that is our fair share.
