Initially called the Deer Hair Brown Hackle, folks on the Au Sable just gave it the creator's name. Original had a somewhat narrower hackle collar, tied here with more of a Trude style.

    hook - TMC 5212 #10
    thread/rib - Danville 6/0 black
    tail - pheasant tail fibers
    body - deer hair
    wing - deer hair
    hackle - brown/grizzly mix

mash barb, start thread at 70% mark, wrap to point above bend

measure a few pt barbs (shank); tie in and return to 70% mark

clean, stack, measure (tips should extend gap width past the barb) a clump of deer hair

2 soft loops, slowly apply/release/apply tension and let the hair surround the hook shank

spiral rib to the bend, then a couple tight wraps to flare the tips; return crossing wraps to 70% mark, tie off, trim, smooth with thread
