Our CSF fly fishing club is doing our fall clean up at Merrill on Oct 13th. Come on up and help..... then fish a bit.....should be some hungry trout.

See note from our member organizing the event........

We'll meet at the lake around 9 AM to rake leaves, clean camp sites, pick up litter, re-install the 'Fly Fishing Only' sign on higher ground, and perhaps work on a new nature trail that follows the shoreline from the launch down to the south. Like always, there is something to do for every level of fitness, and the more helpers we have, the easier the work is. Bring your lunch and some drinking water as well as your gloves, work shoes and a rain coat (just in case). Last year several of us brought leaf blowers which were very helpful. Shovels, rakes, loppers, even wheel barrows are very useful if you can bring them. Department of Natural Resources will also bring tools for us to use. You will not need to purchase a DISCOVERY PASS unless you intend to stay to fish after we finish with the clean up. Remember, we usually are finished around noon which would leave plenty of time to fish Merrill during what can be a very productive time of the year there. Merrill Lake is our "home water" and as a club we've given it a lot of effort for the past 7 years. Let's keep up the good work.
