Work wrapped up unexpectedly early for me yesterday, and I figured I'd head to the Cedar for one more trip.
This has been my first season fishing it, and I've found it to be a very pleasant surprise. Sure, I nearly got hit in the back by some guys lure when he decided to cast into the pool I was fishing, and last night I even got low-holed by a jeans-wearing wet wader. Whatever. I haven't hooked into one of those big 20+" lunkers, but I caught fish every time I went out.
Mostly it has been the little 6-8" guys who aggresively take a dry. Last night, after bypassing my buddy who started fishing the hole I was headed for, I tied on a nymph and brought this guy in. Caught 2 more of the same size and called it a night, and a season.
Maybe next year I'll get into one of those big fellas.

Nice fish. I had hoped to get on the Cedar one more time this year, but never made it.

Was able to find a 17 incher on the lower river Friday afternoon. Wanted to get out on Saturday, but never made it.
