do you mold your own foam cores or turn down some standard core to make your shapes?

I have just started pouring my own cores. I sarted out using 1.5" cores from Riley Rods.

They look interesting. How do they feel when fishing and they get wet? Do they get slick?

i have a rod with a carbon fiber grip,built with riley rods materials as well,and in my experience it doesn't slip my hand when wet.

I put one of Dicks grips on a fiberglass rod and I was really suprised on how much grip it had, not slick at all.

I have yet to have any complaints about grips being slick when wet. They actually seem to get grippier as they get wet.
