Unfortunately, all the rivers right around Leavenworth, the Wenatchee, Icicle Creek, etc, are closed to protect listed salmon and steelhead. Some small nearby sreams that are above natural barriers may be open, but fishing will likely be spotty for someone not very familiar with the area. Fish Lake, which I believe is near Lake Wenatchee, is supposed to have great fishing for brown trout in the fall, and is probably getting good just about now. Jameson, Grimes, and Dry Falls Lakes, about an hour east from Leavenworth, are probably coming on strong also.

    Good luck

Dave - you might also call "The Blue Dun" flyshop in Wenatchee - they know the area well. Good luck, Bart
