My thoughts, make sure you have an address label on your box. There were 5 boxes unmarked. Small tins are good for small flies but hard for the bigger ties. Trevor just sent his best fly swap fly in a clear 3 1/2 inch by 7 inch box that is perfect. The prepayed metered mailer will not be excepted anymore at the local post office. They told me to put it in the drop box (so make sure there is enough postage).

My critique for my photos is light fly dark background, dark fly light light background.

The leech swap went fine except for the address labels on the boxes. Everyone sent the proper postage and sometimes too much. Just remember little fly little box, big fly big box.

Just got my flies and was quite impressed by the variety of sizes and styles and by the overall high quality for all the participants. I usually keep all the flies I get from swaps as reference patterns and I can see several already that I'll be trying to duplicate.

Thanks too Daryl for running an efficient and enjoyable swap. I'd join another of yours anytime.

I'll ditto what Kent said. Although I feel I've been out classed on this swap. Great looking ties, I guess all I can say is I tied a pattern I know works, but some of you guys tied works of art that will work. Just fantastic, the best swap I've been part of.

Kent, I know there is no way I'm going to be able to keep those things out of the water. I'm using the fantastic pics in the gallery as my references.

    Ira..

Guys, I just got around to taking some photos of swaps I've been in, so I posted a group photo of our leeches in the fly swaps gallery. Enjoy!
