Heading over tomorrow to fish friday and Saturday. Last Sunday was not too nice to me so I plan to hit it hard. Any one else going to be there? Should I fish Nunnally instead? I plan is to troll buggers till it warms up and then fish chiros. I will be driving an olive Outback and fishing out of a green Fishcat pontoon. Staying at Desert Aire thanks-dp
be sitting on the edge of the west shoal in about ten feet with blood worms. Around 7:30 in springcreek. Depending on the wind forcast of course.
so Bob will be in his pram, working the west shoal, in 10 feet of water, with a bloodworm early in the morning - depending on the wind of course! I will be in a pontoon boat, working the islands, by 9:00, stripping buggers to start, as winds are supposed to be light. Kind of like: Colonel Sanders was in the Library, watching porn, while drinking scotch with his candlestick in his hand
Talked to some guys at Nunnally as I left Lenice last weekend. They caught fish at Nunnally but said that there were a lot of smaller, recent plants (fall) in the mix. I caught a few smaller fish at Lenice but most were 14-16, going up to 18. DP, does that help. Safe travels to you all heading over. MB
to bring cloure to my report. The weather was fantastic Friday and Saturday. Light, variable winds and not large crowds for the second weekend of the opener. Too bad I did not have my A game. A few people on the lake did and they caught a lot of fish. Chironomid fishing was the most conisistant from what I saw. Fish were caught on buggers/leeches as well. Chironomids fished close to the botton were the ticket on the usual early spring colors. I'll be back in a few weeks with a better plan. dp
