Was over at Lenice earlier this week. It was way too hot(weather, not fishing) and mosquitos were voracious. I had my first hint something was wrong when there were only 4 people fishing when I got there and the next day only two! I fished two days and didn't catch anything. Talked to two other anglers and they didn't catch anything either. I tried damsels, both adults and nymphs, small dries and the usually reliable chironomid and indicator. Nothing. Only saw a few fish rising. One angler did catch a few by fishing midges deep, over 20'. I didn't have a thermometer but this all tells me the lake is now too warm and fish are mostly deep. So, I guess its time to fish higher elevation lakes and streams and leave Lenice until this fall.
