The coho this morning were just bumping and mouthing my fly. After losing a few after a couple of head shakes, I tied up a tube fly with the stinger extended just beyond the fly. That seemed to be the ticket and I bonked a nice ocean fish. All said, I ended up one for four.
Nice looking fish, way to get it done! I went 1/2 for two this morning at the 'point. Got her in but she threw the hook as I tried to beach her and got away.
Matt, I was actually using a Shock & Awe. I got another one today...almost a carbon copy day as yesterday. Dave, you need to be out there with me!
Damn, I wish I was closer so I could hit it before work! I've actually been out sick the last couple days and still thought about going out...guess I should have! haha I just meant a tube fly or stinger setup (for whatever style) to maybe help with the light bites and short strikes that seem to be prevalent.
