I just bought a St Croix Legend Ultra U12667 6/7 Spey. Anyone have experience and what line to use. I mainly use skagit heads, sinktips and big flies. I was looking at Scientific Anglers Skagit Extreme head multi-tip, or Rio Skagit Versi-tip. I'm thinking 450gr in the Rio but what would be good in the SA? 440gr or 480gr? I'm open to any other lines....

So I ended up buying the SA Skagit extreme multi-tip in 440gr. The shop I went to preferred to sell Rio for Spey lines, so he sold it to me $100 instead of the marked price of $140, . I will be getting the 450 gr Rio Versi-tip from a friend when I swap my Dec for an SR(which also uses 450gr). I will give a report on this line and how it compares to the Rio.

I really like the Airflow Scandi Compact in 420 gr on that rod with a 10-14' floating polyleader. That is what I had my wife set up with last year.
