Time for my anual fishing report. Fished Ballinger from 3-5 and caught 4 trout. Biggest about 13". 10' sinktip with olive bugger fished on the north side and around the island. If you only have a couple hours and are in the area it's worth a shot.
I live in Lake City so I'll run up there and fish it for a few hours sometimes if I don't have the time to get out of the city. I usually do pretty well for the 11-13" fish around the island, especially the west side. Its a pretty nice and quiet lake all things considered.
Thanks for the report. That's a nice little urban lake. I'm surprised more fly fishermen don't take advantage of it.
I have seen some large fish come out of that lake have not fished it in a long time. What we need is some C&R urban lakes.
I need to get out to that lake one of these days and give it a shot. It's right down the street from me.
