    Had a business dinner last week at Tacoma's Lobster Shop (Rustin Way) and was surprised to see "fresh local steelhead" on the menu. No one in our party ordered it; some were from outside WA and I was half expecting they might. Not really the situation to have a discussion with the staff and I'd forgot about it until just now. I would assume it is not wild steelhead... but who knows?

    It's most likely pen raised rufus woods triploid rainbows that are marketed as steelhead. I dont think the native americans waste much time netting summer run steelhead.
