Does anyone know what the algae situation at Lone Lake is? I suspect there's a lot of it, given the sunshine (photosynthesis) and temperature (growth goes up with increases in water temperature), but in many ways I've found algae growth to be confounding. For instance, the sort of 'hiatus' when the blooms switched from the flocculent brown algae of late winter - early spring to the finer textured blue-green later in the year.

I was on the south end of the lake tonight and the clarity is not good but there is no big algae bloom.
