I have a Winston Lt/XDLT series spey rod. It is a 14' 9 wgt. I am looking for line recommendations .

I line the rio windcutter lines. Its what we have on almost all of our spey rods.

Yeah well there are no UK Snowbees on the Rio Chart !

Put the Snowbee Scandi head 1D on the Snowbee Torridge - 6-7 wgt, thats one long running line, casted pretty well.

I must be one of the few Snowbee spey rod owners in the US I guess.

    :)

Hal (aka BG), I think you may be correct. I can only recall a couple of places referencing any of the Snobee products here in the US.

I have worked with this rod twice.
Once with a Student for New York and once with gentleman from Oregon.
    Worked two lines both times
Line on 9/10 Carron weighing in at 640 grains and 550 Skagit and 150 grain tips.
These lines loaded the rod down into the butt and gives great line speed and laser tight loops
Grain window seems to be from 600 to 750 grains.

    Good all-round 14fter.

So sayeth the Gospel according to Aaron....

In all reality, if Aaron thinks it's good you probably should take a first gander at it!

Ahhh... didn't notice that! Well, being in the midwest kinda puts a damper on things, as normally he'd be able to hit Aarons River Run thing to try a million lines... Looks like it's time to see if he can borrow some lines... :hmmm:

BTW Aaron, do you let someone "rent" a reel and line for a while? I've got some stuff I was hoping to test out this weekend on the OP and I don't have time to grab it on Sat....

    James,
If I have it I will send it.
All you pay is the post.
Figure out which line you need and let me know.
