Fished Luhr Beach last weekend for 4 hours, starting at high slack tide. Used a clauser and fished right along shore about 1/3 mile E of the vis. center.

    No fish seen or felt.

Anyone ever find this area productive?

    THJ,
I've fished it quite a few times. It's not one of the best places to get SR's. Every once in a while you will get a resident coho.

Luhr Beach in near Olympia, on the southern end of the Nisqually Delta.

    TroutHunterJohn:

A couple of thoughts: Sea-run cutthroat tend to like beachs which have current. If the current wasn't very good on the ebb tide, you might want to try fishing that beach on a flood tide. Maybe the current would be better?

It seems like the sea-run cutthroat are just starting to move into the saltwater. So you might want to try that spot in another couple of weeks when the main push of out migrating sea-run cutthroat occurs.
