As some of you may have seen, a few of us have just finished a 5 month marathon fly swap.

As a conclusion to the swap there are some prizes to give out. Please look over the photos and vote for who you think was the MVP in this swap. No given criteria, you decide (fishability, cool looking, quality etc.)

Each month had a them (nymphs, streamers, dries, emergers/terrestrials, freestyle), should be evident what each one is by the pics. We were mainly after trout patterns for rivers.

Holy cow Ned. How could you ask to separate the cream of the crop from all that cream? Those are fantastic flies. Are you looking for the one fly tier that overall impresses the most or a single offering by one tier? I've followed this swap as a lurker and seeing it all together here at one time is amazing! I've been blessed with receiving flies from most of the tyers in your group and each of those amazed me. This series of flies is even more remarkable. By the way Ned, where are your flies?

Not to snub anyone, please don't take offense to my uneducated and inexperienced view but this is what I think: Best individual fly is Riseform's freestyle. Best overall set of flies would be Robast. Most creative series would be Xdog. Buggiest looking single fly would be Islander's dry. Fly that looks like my favorite go to fly would be Twin Lakes Leech's dry. Fly that I wish I had in my box right now would be Zach M's dry beetle. I also love he high visibility of Eric Tarcha's dry, the coloration of Richard Torres' freestyle and the color schemes on bullwhackers series is just impressive.

I'm of no use to you, sorry. Too much talent. I'm glad I avoided your swap because I would have been a negative drain on what you all created. Thanks for posting all the pics in one spot (except yours of course).

    Ed,

I could only set up a poll with 10 options and since I am not up for the prizes....

If you want you can always see all of the pics from the swaps in the Gallery.

Sorry we didn't have you on board, maybe next year.

Ned, I'll check the gallery for sure. I cast my vote. Sorry that my text picks above include way too many picks. Whomever gets the prizes certainly deserve them. Maybe I'll be up for next year, I can see from the entrants this year that I'm in need of a lot of practice.

All done folks. Thanks for your votes. Congrats to Xdog and Riseform! And to all that participated in this swap. Great job by everyone. Far exceeded my expectations.

I will announce all of the results on the swap thread in the fly-tying forum.

Although he eliminated himself from the poll, this thread never felt right without showcasing Ned's flies
