Given that I am re-learning to make up my wings post my partial finger removal job of the key finger I was thinking of a swap of flies with that being the required element. Any size, species, artistic free-style, all welcome, get as elaborate or not as each wishes. just has to have atleast the made up wing or roof. Given some of the tyers here ,my guess is this would bring out some cooool dressings. Whatchya think?

    Davy,

I will get in on this since married wings are fun but time consuming. All I ask is that this be limited to 6 since marring 12 or more wings on any given day is a pain in the arse.

    7 tyers including me, OK?

4 more good tyers needed. Overtime with no benefits

Lets take our time with this one. What do we think , end of year? Dec 20th?

Let me know what you all want to do for a due date. I am good with just about anything as long as it ain't soon. Gonna take a me a day to clean the tying room out and get up and goin once again. To say it's a while, well, it's been a while.

    Thanks

got 4, not quite the same as a Pick 4 but hey!

Only caveat to the Jan 20 date is some of you will probably be sending in your dressings near then and I will be in Mexico thru the 11th and out of communication. Hopefully with rum in one hand and fish in the other

I will be sending my PO box with my home address to make sure the flys are secure if they show up when I am gone

    glad to have yuh Marty

I'll give it a try, need to get some friendly wing feathers. Can it be a one night stand instead of married?

Only if the pink doesn't look or smell tainted. Be careful what you get in Mexico, there is a reason why it is so cheap!!!:rofl::rofl:

So to clarify this swap, it can be any pattern with a married wing?

thats 5 2 more , good tyers please

Yes Obi , I said at the outset as simple or elaborate as each wants. It can be a Parmachenne Belle wing or a full Kelson JS. Any hook, any species, it can turkey, bustard, vulcher or duck, anything the tyer 'wish. Just in the spirit of things avoid the "practice wing" ( hook and just wing) A real pattern of some sort please.

I am looking forward to this as so far I think the tyers we have will be somewhere in the middle of that. I know the pattern taking shape in my 'noggin seems spectacular in there, maybe not so under the prism of real light.

Should I have said "coupled" wing to be more PC or less PC?? Have to have a wee of scotch on that one

Hey Davy I would like in on this if you choose to have me. I think I could handle seven patterns by mid to late january and I agree that seven is a good number as these may take a little more time to tie up. Great swap idea and should be fun. Kevin

    Kevin--- happy to have you,

The tyers only need to tye six , unless you want one of your own. Up to you

Yes, it will take time for sure. Depending on choice, one could be looking at making up to 14 lefts and 14 rights. And thats just the wing. I don't expect One will choose to do a lower wing, but it might happen.

    I begin this project tomorrow.

    And now we need 1
