Mayfly emerger

    I was bored so I started experimenting with some turkey biots that I have. This one is tied using a PMD color biot with a light dun colored thorax and using blue dun hackle.

    Wonder if it might work????

    It's amazing how different it is to tye big elaborate steelhead creations and then going back to my roots.

    That little thing looks nice and fishy to me. :thumb:
    I was tying some patterns on a size 16 and had to go and get a magnifiying glass light set up so I could tie without squinting. Is that a size 18? Nice tiny fly Scott! :beer2: :eek:

    Nice Scott, that'll catch fish . Yes, it is different, I have to go back and forth all the time and it's knda like your sea legs after a few weeks at sea.takes a bit gettin used too.

    Funny you mention the mag'glass...I have a hand-held one sitting next to the vise that I have to use on some of these flies. No this is on a #16 dry hook.
