Midge Identification

    seems like it would be pretty hard to identify a midge if you were not a serious entomologist.

    I posted these pictures on a thread about Rocky Ford.

    any ideas?

    Hi Jay-
    Actually, that may come pretty close to being the understatement of the year. :)
    It really takes a taxonomist who specializes in them, and even then, I suspect a female specimen (like yours is) would present significant problems.
