I finally got around to finishing this minnow that's been swimming around in my head for awhile. 3-part articulation, spun/flared/stacked & trimmed temple dog underfur, dumbell eyes. I'm hoping for some decent lifelike movement when I take it out for a test swim. image.jpg image.jpg

Very cool fly, have you tried using sculpin/rams wool instead of TD. I use both materials, but that would be a lot of temple dog to chop up. rams wool is cheaper.

I use the TD underfur for egg veilings. When wet, it turns translucent....if that happens to those little fishies, they would look sweet when wet!!

That thing looks sweet! If you wanted to experiment you could add or paint a red ball on the mouth of the fish, to look like it's stealing some roe. As it is, I would strip that baby for some Browns.

One of those flies you can use in about a 100 different fisheries. I dig it.
