went out for about 3 hours this morning to a spot where ive been doin good on streamers. flipped some rocks and started finding little gummy, nearly shell less molting crawdads. proceeded to catch some decent fish all on crawdads. cutty went about 15"-16" the bow (not done justice in this pic) was 21" on the dot and fought like hell. lost the two alpha pigs i hooked but i aint complainin =)

Nice Mac. I was on the Yak last week and brought 7 to hand between 13-18 inch, all on a #16 red copper john. I love Fall :)

Cool! I'd love to see the fly you used. Never really knew much about crawdads as a trout food source. Seem to read about it fairly often these days.

Great job finding the clues and great fish!

Nice work McNasty! I have some crawdad patterns that used to work on Lake Ontario smallies, I'm sure they'll work on bows fattening up for winter.

were those great lakes crawdads blue in color? I've heard some can be and it would give me an excuse to try other colors in my patterns
