    lightning bugs, lightning bugs, and lightning bugs. this is what i discovered last year.

    Not the same water but I grew up catching smallmouth bass on a brown and orange wolly worm in N. Cal, I am sure this fly worked so well because of all the crawdads in the river system. I never thought at the time to use it for trout.......live and learn ;)

    haha, its pretty nice, 3 classes in the morning and then all day open. this fish almost hit 23" and took me way into my backing. i hooked him on an egg sucking stonefly first cast and lost him, then went back way later before i left and got him to come back to a small black sculpzilla.
