Is it a good idea to have extra versi-tips on hand... I just have the standard set that comes with the line.. is there a more affordable source for these besides buying retail stock.. I know some folks are talented enough to make them, unfortunately I don't put myself in that category thanks, Ron
As in the 15ft Rio tips? Keep a casual eye on the Classifieds. Also look at the Scientific Anglers Custom Cut Express Tips. The most recent version is a braided core with the T-xx weight designation in white letters and welded loops on each end. Each kit is 30ft, so two 15ft tips costs $20.
Bjorn at the Flyfisher in Lacey makes tips in different lengths and different T weights and he's very reasonable. Give him a shout: http://www.yelp.com/biz/fly-fisher-the-lacey Matthew
