I was down at my union hall today, and one of my union brothers, having noticed my copy of Dave Hughes' _Taking Trout_, mentioned that another of our members was/is a world class fly tier. I can't remember the tier's name, but I think he lives down in Oregon and is or was a member of the Sailor's Union of the Pacific. I think his last name begins with a "P." If anyone thinks they know, please offer up your best guess.

    Mystery Fly Tier solved

Hey all. Big never mind. I found out anyhow. They guy was Bob Voorhees. He has since passed away, was a Merchant Seaman, sailed with the S.U.P., and provided flies for Gov. Rosellini way back when. At least that's the story circulating down at the hall.
