N. Sound Report

  1. Fished north sound on Friday looking for my first coastal cutthroat. Day started off windy and choppy which led to some "interesting" casting off the bow. Didn't have any luck until heading towards Carkeek. Got into a school of jumping fish which turned out to be coho after catching one on a surface popper. Too bad they're out of season cos I think I could have been hauling them in all morning based on the first one's response! Speaking of all the jumping - what are those fish going after? They were seriously launching themselves out of the water all around.

Also tried a few places north of Bainbridge - nice weather but no fish.
