Pretty green on chasn smallies on the fly, but here we go. 8 wt id the size-
I want a line to throw buggers , streamers etc . I don't want a line like a airflo 40+ with a huge head and thin running line -
What should I look into boys? Thanks alot in advance-

Hey Borat, get an airflo 40+ or a Rio Clouser for big nasties.

Edward, I don't like 40+'s , the running line section is tough for me feal with my fat fingers !
Is the rio clauser the same spagetti running liine set up ??

Are you looking at a floating line? S.A. Bass Taper, Pike Taper, or Rio Nymph Lines all do well for big bugs and don't have a "shooting line" feel.

If it were a largemouth line, I would say bass taper line. If your just chasing smallies, just about any line will work. I have thrown all sorts, but I would go with the rio clouser clouser for weighted flies...

Sharkskin Magnum taper? I have one in 7wt that turns over some big stuff nicely, well, my horrible casting aside.
