Im thinking of using the rod for trout/steelhead mainly indicator fishing small streams/rivers. I own 3 other rods so this one will be for indincator fishing only. Was thinking of the Ambush line maybe?? Since the small stream thing will be doing roll casting or single hand spey casting. Any other thoughts??? Like I said its a 6 wt Lamiglas G500 rod 9-0 length. Should I line up?? Thanks

I recently did a similar thing to my old Fenwick 6wt. I had used DT's for years but went to a GPX WF and the rod seemed to like it better. It cast better now than it did 40 years ago.

Lines like the 40+ and Ambush cast and roll out nymph rigs just fine. But they have no ability to mend once they hit the water. I switched to a Rio Indicator line. Much much better.

I have a 9ft 6wt echo and just put a joan wulff triangle taper line on it and it seems to roll cast pretty good
